This listing is for one crystalline mini vase.
This small vase was hand-made from porcelain clay on the potter's wheel by Lindsey. It is glazed with a ruby & green zinc crystalline glaze on a smoky green background that fades from light to dark, top to bottom with red crystals.
- Approx. 4.5" tall x 3" wide.
Due to the unique nature of crystalline glazes, no two pieces are ever alike. The crystals are actually grown during the firing and cooling process. The time and temperature must be accurate in order to achieve crystal growth on the piece. Copper is used in the glaze in order to achieve the deep green color that was then turned red in a post-fire reduction.
